Donna brings to Oakwood Counseling Center over 25 years of Professional Counseling experience. She specializes in working with young adults, women, couples & families who are seeking solutions to improve their mood, quality of life, & relationships. Her background includes 15 years of Acute Psychiatric Treatment experience, as well as varied outpatient Crisis Intervention & Counseling/Therapy for children & adults. She uses an eclectic approach to counseling & considers herself client-centered. Her specialized training is in the area of Post-Trauma recovery (PTSD) & utilizes Prolonged Exposure Therapy as indicated. Donna treats dual diagnosis/Chemical Dependency with a 12-Step model of Recovery for those struggling with Addiction issues. Biblical Counseling is also offered to those who desire a Christ-Centered Counseling approach, as Donna believes that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the best foundation for lasting healing & Recovery, and welcomes Him in the room upon client request.
